What Is crypto_homes?
crypto_homes is a menushell script offering you the ability to make as many different encrypted home directories as you like.
This means if you have a 'sensitive' $HOME directory, you can keep that "virtual" $HOME working space on a portable micro sdcard and crypto_homes will automatically encrypt it using LUKS and adjust your fstab/crypttab to boot to that $HOME.
When crypto_home encrypts the sdcard home, it rsyncs and retains the original home directory on your disks, allowing for an easy restoration (currently simply hash out the new fstab/crypttab, more automated options coming)
Say you are traveling and want to retain your privacy in an unknown country. Maybe you want to run multiple home directories depending on occasion or opportunity (ie: journalist with sensitive files).
Our $HOME directory carries our most personal and sensitive files. It's essentially the computer for your given account.
crypto_homes encrypts the portable home directories and even turns a USB stick into an /dev/urandom hardware key to automatically unlock the portable micro sdcard $HOME.

The basic functionality of creating the encrypted sdcard + usb hardware key is in. *
To be run as sudo/root, with USB/sdcard plugged in. For Pinephone/Linux phones/devices (disks set by user on run).
Automate making encrypted $HOME disks for virtual workstations, along with hardware key.
